My sister Kirsten and I after the Carlsbad Marathon
About Kevin Glodava
I spent most of my sports career playing competitive soccer and basketball. After many years of competing at a high level, injuries and surgeries started to pile up from all the lateral movements associated with the two sports. That is when I went back to the world of running. Before I ever had a car I used to run everywhere. I ran to work, school and I even ran to soccer practice. After I quit soccer and basketball, running just wasn't enough to satisfy my competitive appetite. So I followed in my fathers footsteps and started cycling and I was immediately hooked. I found that combining the events satisfied my competitive spirit and I later added the discipline of swimming. I love to learn about the science behind “what makes an athlete tick” and I am constantly researching and implementing new ways to make myself and my athletes better.
Mission Statement
“To promote and educate an active and fulfilling lifestyle through the sports of Triathlon, Duathlon, Cycling, Swimming, Running and Weight Training.”
Coaching Philosophy
“I am role model, psychologist, motivator and teacher. Every client/athlete I will meet, have met, or am currently working with, will have a coach that is knowledgeable about the human body and physical fitness. I will be up to date with the latest research, training techniques and program designs. I will ensure their safety and the safety of others. I will create age appropriate, fitness level appropriate and skill level appropriate programs. Everyone is different; everyone has different wants, needs and desires. Some will be old, some will be young, but everyone can expect the best in me to bring out the best in you. But not just physical, the mental, spiritual and emotional as well. I am not only teaching how to be great athletes, I am teaching life skills that you will never forget.” |
